Safe Experiences in Dubai to Avoid Coronavirus

The UAE government is carefully monitoring the spread of COVID-19 in Dubai. Therefore, precautions in line with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines are being strictly adhered to.

There are still international travellers visiting Dubai and residents in Dubai who are looking for safe experiences to enjoy. It is recommended to avoid crowded places like shopping malls and theme parks. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t still fun, exciting and most importantly, safe ways to experience Dubai.

Safe Experiences Dubai

As an outdoor activity, HERO Dubai Boat Tours is a safe experience in Dubai as each booking has its own private boat. Enjoy the experience along the wide and open coastline of Dubai.  Even though it is a low-risk activity, we have made some small tweaks to our operations to make Dubai residents and visitors feel safe during the HERO Dubai Boat Tours.

Our Group CEO, Adam McEwan shares the extra precautionary steps we have taken to stop the spread of the Coronavirus:

Hand sanitizer:

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the best way to protect yourself from the spread of the Coronavirus is by frequently washing your hands with disinfectant. We placed alcoholic and non-alcoholic hand sanitisers at the safety briefing area so that all guests can wash their hands before and after the HERO Boat Tour. We try to be as sustainable as possible by only using refillable dispensers and bottles.

Disinfectant wipes:

Even though we are always meticulous in the way that we clean our vehicles, boats and safety briefing location, we are taking extra steps by using the addition of disinfectant wipes, used once per surface, to ensure that everything is kept as clean as possible at all times.

Here are some tips about how to avoid the coronavirus in Dubai:

  • It is acceptable to ask tour operators or activity companies what safety measures they are taking to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, it is your right.
  • Make sure to wash your hands with disinfectant frequently.
  • Avoid touching your face with your hands – our hands touch a lot of surfaces and can carry germs.

Avoid very crowded spaces where possible, like shopping malls and concerts. Take this as an opportunity to explore the natural wonders of a destination and enjoy the natural environment.

What is Coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness in animals or humans.  In humans, several coronaviruses are known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
