The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Dubai is being carefully monitored by the UAE government and precautions in line with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines are being strictly adhered to.
There are still international travellers visiting Dubai during this time and residents in Dubai who are looking for safe experiences to enjoy. It has been recommended to avoid crowded places like shopping malls and theme parks but this doesn’t mean that there are still not fun, exciting and most importantly, safe ways to experience Dubai.
As an outdoor activity, HERO Dubai Boat Tours is safe experience in Dubai as each booking has their own private boat and the experience is enjoyed along the wide open coastline of Dubai. Even though it is a low risk activity, we have made some tweaks to our operations to make Dubai residents and visitors feel safe during the HERO Dubai Boat Tours.
Our Group CEO, Adam McEwan shares the extra precautionary steps we have taken to stop the spread of the Coronavirus:
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the best way to protect yourself from the spread of the Coronavirus is by frequently washing your hands with disinfectant. We have placed alcoholic and non-alcoholic hand sanitizer at the safety briefing area so that all guests can wash their hands before and after the HERO Boat Tour. We have tried to be as sustainable as possible by only using refillable dispensers and bottles.
Even though we are always meticulous in the way that we clean our vehicles, boats and safety briefing location, we are taking extra steps by using the addition of disinfectant wipes, used once per surface, to ensure that everything is kept as clean as possible at all times.
Here are some tips about how to avoid the coronavirus in Dubai:
- It is ok to ask tour operators or activity companies what safety measures they are taking to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, it is your right.
- Make sure to wash your hands with disinfectant frequently.
- Avoid touching your face with your hands – our hands touch a lot of surfaces and can carry germs.
Avoid very crowded spaces where possible like shopping malls and concerts. Take this as an opportunity to explore the natural wonders of a destination and enjoy mother-nature.
